​Dagang Net is enabling customers in the local Trade Facilitation and Logistics sector to leverage on the ASEAN Single Window (“ASW”).

Dagang Net, which has earlier received the award of contract extension from the Government of Malaysia for the National Single Window (“NSW”) for Trade Facilitation, has completed the design and development works of the Integration Module for ASW, which has gone live starting from 17 November 2016. Dagang Net also manages operations and maintenance of the Integration Module.

A key component of the ASEAN Economic Community (“AEC”), the ASW for Trade Facilitation is a unique regional initiative that connects and integrates NSWs of ASEAN member states to expedite cargo clearance within the context of increased economic integration in the ASEAN region.

The Integration Module enables processing of trade data from Malaysia, which will then be sorted and sent electronically in a format recognised by the ASW. Prior to this e-Service, trade data that has been processed by the NSW will have to be submitted in hard copy to relevant authorities of receiving countries in ASEAN.

Through the Integration Module for ASW, electronic trade data exchange from Malaysia can be done with Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand as their respective Trade Facilitation infrastructures are the only readily infrastructure to leverage on the ASW at the moment.
